I'm 28 and have never been able to grow that much facial hair. It's pretty secluded to the chin and neck area.
I usually just use an electric razor to keep it down to a stubble, but I've recently grown fond of the closer shave (as has gf) and feel like a fucking schlub if I have stubble.
I have pretty good blades, but every time I shave I end up with bad razor burn around the jawline and neck.
I've tried every kind of aftershave I can find, with zero success.
Is there anything I can do so that I don't feel and look like I shaved with a fucking blowtorch?

Shaving in the shower works for me. I use no cream or foam when Under the shower. Whenever I am in a hurry though, I just shave with foam at the sink and always get razor burn on my upper lip.
When I shower I first brush my teeth and then shave so it doesnt cut to much into my time in the morning.
