Hi /Adv/.
Today I gave away my kitten. She was the only thing I was emotionally attached to in my home (except for my brother's weed)
My kitten gave me so much unconditional love... Slept with me at night, used my fingers as a pacifier, played with me and did what cats did in general.
My father forced me to give her away because he claimed she made him feel sick. He is indeed quite sick lately, but he has no allergies. We had a cat before, and we have a bunny for 5 years. In other words- He's just pinning his problem on my cat.
I feel devastated. I actually cried (Stress from shitty work + finding out I had to give away my cat = crying in the shower).
Help me get over my loss. I can't stop thinking about her, and how scared she must be in her new home. (I gave her away to a friend I trust, but still.)
>pic related, that's how I feel rn
If your da doesn't get better can you get the cat back?
It is possible that it is allergies, they can appear when you didn't have them before.

I'll ask later on, when he's feeling a bit better if I can.
Also, it's definitely not allergies. He even asked the doctor.

You're quite bad at it

Grieve, it's natural. Never stop working, work harder, work faster, work smarter. Cover one to two shifts a week for people and no more if possible. Work, work, and work some more! Save up so you can move out. That way you can either ask to have your kitten back or adopt a new kitten. Tuxedo cats and breeds of siamese cats have wonderful personalities.
Sorry for your situation, OP. It's a tough one but you will get through it. Use this memory as fuel to build yourself up alongside with a savings account to nurture another kidden.
