How common is it actually to get into a fight as a young man

How common is it actually to get into a fight as a young man with other young men over trivial reasons?

I've been threatened to be beat up 3 times altogether a few years ago in school, but nothing ever happened. Is it mostly just all bark no bite with young men who threaten to beat you up?

The only time I was in a "street fight" was when some guy just jumped me swinging his fists. I didn't feel shit though, he hit like a bitch and my friend interrupted him before I even realized what was happening. I wasn't drunk but I was still pretty tired = disoriented.

I also have a weird obsession with fights, everytime I wrong someone I'm afraid they'll beat me up or they'll get someone to beat me up. Can someone give me advice on this? It really bothers me.
