My son keeps telling me to buy this imaginary money on the internet. He tells me it's the next thing after electricity! I think he's crazy, what do I do? As his mother I'm so concerned about him, I keep telling him to quit sitting on the internet for the whole day and get a job, but he just wouldn't listen!! I'm afraid my son is getting scammed by the internet and I need to find a way to make him stop because he keeps begging money to me week and just lose it to this imaginary internet money!!
My coworkers at the office warned me about this huge global internet fraud money that my son is into. Then the other day, I hired a financial expert to convince my son that what he's doing is illegal and could land him in jail for money laundering. I don't want that to happen..help me, /adv/ please!! I need to convince him to stop before things become worse. I think he posts on this website too but I don't know which section.

god isn't real.
He may or may not be.
If I'm correct he's talking about cryptocurrency.
It's not illegal (depending on what he's doing) and it is pretty big right now.
Bitcoin for example, 1 Bitcoin equals 3301.98 US Dollar.
If he's just sitting on the internet all day what he's most likely doing is watching the stocks for the currency and seeing which are going up in value and what's crashing.

Yeah it's pretty dangerous stuff. It's not safe to have it in your house. Do you have access to his computer? I could take them off of your hands to your son doesn't go to jail.
