Last night I spilled water on my MacBook Air, and I know Apple is finicky about hardware issues.
Now, after letting it dry with a towel and fan over night, it's not turning on. I don't want to plug it into my charger at the risk of shorting it out.
What do? Is there any hope? This laptop has been my best friend for 1.5 years

Fuck this I'll just call tech support
Bowl of rice into the fridge, wait 48hrs....
Best option you have.
you broke it
The water on the outside is not a problem. The towel did nothing for you. The water on the inside is your problem. Trying to turn it on may well have broken it.
If you want to waste time dicking around with it, remove all screws and open the covers. Once you see the insides of the main board, all mass memory is detached, the display panel is removed from its case, now put it in some air conditioned, well ventilated space for about a week. Once it has dried on the inside, reassemble it and try again to turn it on.
Hi my name is anon with Apple support can I get your imei number.

Open, chinks can't open buckets well due to their limited vision

Thank you for an actual response anon. I'll look around for a screwdriver.
I made an appointment with an Apple Store to see if there's any options.
Definitely taking your advice.

They don't cover water damage even if you have apple care they'll just turn you away.
