I'll keep this simple. Most votes wins.
I'm unemployed after finishing studying. I've been living in my old room at home for about 5 weeks now and I'm massively depressed.
Choice 1: Fly across the globe to Europe for a 2 month trip. Staying for free with my father and brother. I will see a few countries, smoke pot and see family I haven't seen in 5 years. It will cost 33% of my cash for the flights alone. And probably at least another 33% for everything else.
Choice 2: Start renting a place to stay in the city, unemployment money will pay for rent and a bit of food. Realistically the move will cost about 20% of my money.
The catch is: Choice 1 leaves me with a huge loss of funds and when I return, I will most likely be back here to the same place just like now. Choice 2 is also risky, finding a job is hard, and my life will probably suck nearly as much as it does now anyway.
choice one, dont live your life for finding an apartment and shitty job. wont hep the depression

Choice one because it will fuck you up in the long run and I hate you.
Yeah, my vote's for #1. If a couple plane tickets is a third of your money, you don't have enough money to do anything, really, so why not have a good experience.
Shitty apartments and unemployment benefits will always be there for you, anon

> finishing studying
Studying what? Gender Studies? Medieval French Poetry?
Or something easier to get a job with like Computer stuff or STEM?
That should be a factor in what you do.
> to Europe
Where exactly? Can the destination be a resume enhancer?

Business and Information Systems, not a scripter but I'm good with IT and databases etc.
Even though it's the biggest field of employment, with very limited experience I haven't gotten a single interview.
This trip is purely for pleasure. One point of why I need to go now, I that if I do somehow get a decent job, I would have to quit or wait a year to go anywhere really.
I think you should get established in a place to live and find a job before you start taking trips. It's the more responsible thing to do.
