Does anyone have any experience in managing or self-treating their OCD?

If you find out let me know.
I've given up hopes of beating it and learned to live with it.

what?
You have to consciously go against your rituals until you instill your new habit. Think of your OCD like some sort of negative person. If you enable them, they will continue to do what they do and be a drain. If you take away everything they have, they will completely lash out and make you feel as miserable as possible. You have to find a balance until this negative person goes somewhere else.
First, you have to establish that you truly wish to get better.
Second, you must pick which side of you inner self is the boss. In this case, it is the side of you which is not anxiety driven and knows what's good for you. This means that you will be following what the good voice tells you.
Third, make clear what your OCD symptoms are and decide of which one you will tackle. Do not take them all on at once. I suggest starting with the ones that bother you the most. Gradually reduce your ritual tied to that compulsion, or find a better replacement ritual that doesn't disturb you. Continue this until it is eliminated.
Throughout all of this, you must fully accept that you have an additional difficulty that others do not have. This flaring-anxiety part of your brain is malfunctioning and is telling you lies. It knows what you dislike and uses that to its advantage. It is not doing this just to spite you, but it is a malfunction and it is your duty to address this. Do not take what it says as truth, and continue following your plan and listening to your "Good voice". People with OCD moreso than any other person have the right and need to think as positively as possible.
I promise that you can cure your OCD with your own actions. Don't give up, talk to people if you need to, and stick to your strategies. It may be a hard battle but you can win.

very good advice - I only have OCD with one thing, and it's a semen contamination problem.
I can't imagine how much easier my life would be without OCD
Ive done ERP but it still hangs around or switches obsessions
