Is hypnosis worth paying for? The hypnotherapist in my town charges 85 dollars a session. I'd like to just get hypnotized in order to get more motivation to work, learn to drive and go to college. But if it's a bunch of woo I'm not interested.

Hypnosis is like a placebo drug
It has measurable effects and can help some but the results are inconsistent and largely depend on your state of mind
You probably would gain nothing from it

Hell no! Hypnosis can be useful but it rarely ever is. If you want to use it for real therapy you're out of your mind and so is the quack you went to see. There's a reason they don't allow hypnosis to be used in court.

it is legit but doesnt last long, ive used hypnosis on my self a couple of times, for example saying this a couple of times will help you relax: my brain can control my anxiety, anxiety does not have power over me (something like that)
