I'm worried about a friend who takes medicine for a deadly illness that causes her to generally be racked in pain. If she doesn't take her medicine, she will likely die in a matter of a month or so. Her medicaid was shut off due to bullshit reasons involving a job, and they're having her go through the months-long process to reapply again, but she only has about a half of a month of medicine left, and she needs to see the doctor to get it represcribed. Is there some sort of temporary and fast thing she can apply for to get her medicine and doctor visits until medicaid pitches back in? America, btw.

Yeah you call a doctor and pay the full price which is like $200.

If she could do that, I wouldn't be on here asking about it. I can't afford to help her either, unfortunately. Her total price of medicine a month is around twice as much as I make a month, not even counting the doctor's visits. She started a new job so she has less than 100 to her name, too.
