How do you get over fear of horror movies?

enough horror movies so that you become desensitized

been watching horror movies since i was 10 years old and it's impossible for me to get scared anymore, especially by modern day horror movies. they are too cookie cutter so you know everything that's gonna happen before it happens

Recognize trends and accept that its all fake. Most of the music gives it away.

Watching a lot has never worked for me. Once I took an anti anxiety pill before watching and I literally didn't jump at all. It's the only time I didn't jump. I'm like you, very jumpy and I'm usually the only one too scream during a horror movie lol covering my eyes partially is the only other thing that helps unless they have loud music at the scary parts and then I still jump.
