see.. this, along with only having to work 4-5 days a week at most offices makes me almost wanna go for it..

But with optician, i wont be exposed to blood or saliva...

True but both are routine jobs. I personally would rather work with machines and eyes all day than blood saliva and bacteria. Up to u. If you dont mind the mouth go for it; otherwise, the human interaction as a optician is probs more suitable

You bring up great points. I'm not sure how well I would do in the particularly dirty mouths, but tinkering with glasses repair will always be clean.

Another part I am intimidated about for optician is the sales aspect. I will have to try to convince people to buy more expensive frames, or select upgrades like transition lenses or prescription sunglasses. I'm not the best saleswoman... not that I couldn't improve!

Dental assistant if you can level up to dental hygienist, It's infinitely more work and disgusting, but you will get paid $$$. Opticians make nothing and it's a dead end job.

Well, I mean, it's pick your poison. Do you want to talk to people all day, upsell them shit they don't really need, or do you want a job that requires no talking, but you quite literally have to get down to the nitty and gritty. If you really think about it, opitican vs dental assistant are polar opposite jobs, as far as personality is required.

DA is, on a very elementary level, a science/medical job. Optician is a frame salesman - your main job is to up-sell people on more expensive frames, coatings, insurance, etc.
