Drugs? self brainwashing?

drugs to erase memories, and brainwashing, literally do not exist. you can use drugs to feel better, but the memories will still be there and you'll have drug dependence, which varies in how shitty it is depending on the drug.
having new, more positive experiences is the only way to push out bad ones

How does that work? I suffer from leftover memories from intrustive thought disorder.

You should accept memories and past, and deal with them, instead of trying to repress them.
A psych could help you.

Hmmmm. I see.

Talk about them with someone else or just narrate them to yourself. Each time you recall a memory you alter it slightly. Do it enough while recounting it aloud will eventually let you detach yourself from the memory. You will remember it but it won't have the same emotional impact.

Your bad memories serve so that you dont make the same mistakes twice.
They suck, but they are a constant reminder so that you dont fuck it up again. Even in cases when you weren't responsible for what happened; they serve as a reminder of what can happen when things aren't thought through, etc.
