How do you look back on your past without becoming self-obsessed?

Realize the past isn't truly how you remember it and that there is nothing you can do but learn from it so you should take bits and pieces to readjust yourself

Remind yourself that few other people will remember your mistakes and probably don't care.

Get in a new environment - new town, new job, new friend groups, new websites even. It's so much easier to be reminded of your mistakes and problems if you see the same reminders of that time.
