I don't have anyone else to turn to really, but I've been having trouble being sober. I'm 20 and been using drugs for 5 almost 6 years. I've been around the block with drug's and been hooked badly on benzos before but I can use them somewhat responsible now. Now I'm working to advance my life but it's just so difficult to not use drugs. Even shit like pot is hard to go without. Drugs just even me out and make me not depressed/suicidal thoughts, but that's not sustainable. I just want some advice on becoming sober. Sorry if there are errors I'm on a couple benzos. I think being asked questions may help too so I'll 5ry and stay awake to be here.

Have you ever tried professional mental healthcare specifically for substance use? Have you ever tried joining a peer-to-peer support group?

Perhaps you could tell us about the things you HAVE tried to do to get away from substance use?
>Do you substitute any other activities, foods, or purchases in place of buying or using drugs?
>Do you ever prioritize spending time with people who cannot supply drugs over spending time with people who do supply drugs?
>How effective have any of these alternative choices been for you?
Anything else you can think to add?
