Every time I take a shower my fucking scalp burns, no matter if the water temperature is hot, lukewarm, or cold. Always a burning sensation.
What the fuck do I do?
I've tried avoiding showers for this reason, but if I go 24 hours without a shower my head gets VERY itchy and I constantly scratch it until I shower, which subsides the itch for another 24 hours.
What the fuck do I do? How can regular ass water be burning my scalp?

I don't have any scaly patches of skin though.
Would I make an appointment with a dermatologist or my PCP?

not that anon, but i would see a dermatologist. it definitely sounds like a skin problem even if there's no visible scaly patches. have you torn up your scalp any with scratching the itch? that could account for some level of the burning.
some skin infections aren't raised from the skin and may require a swab to determine what it is.

Have you tried using dandruff shampoo? I had something similar to this and head and shoulders cleared it up
