Don't be consumed by the void--keep living and find out what will bring you comfort. Do not, under any circumstance, try to bury or numb your emotions and distance yourself from others to compensate or reduce your heartache. You can end up in a dark place feeling inhuman for years or possibly the rest of your life wondering what the hell went wrong.

For nearly a decade I thought burying Emotions and being emotionally distant and detached would help me get over the death of three loved ones and 'protect' me when my other loved ones passed on in the future. My dad is literally days to possibly hours from death... and it took that to return my humanity and make me realize what a total weak-hearted fool I've been this last decade. Just love and you will be loved. As hard as you try to push others away, they will still love you.
