So a very smart lady friend is having a super hard time getting into any of the schools that she applies to. She gets to the interviews and chokes up a little (who doesn't), but has been told that there were doctor's kids that did a LOT worse but got accepted instead of her.
She already does lots of volunteering for hospitals and takes classes at regular colleges, is there anything else she can do to bump up her chances?
Unless you're there in the room with her, you really don't know how badly she's messing up. You don't know for sure that there are people who do worse and still get in. They're certainly not rejecting her for absolutely no reasons
>is there anything else she can do to bump up her chances?
Work on her interview skills, clearly.
Any questions that are about the individual should be straight forward. It'll either be describing themselves or something factual about their qualifications. Just don't forget how to describe things.
I think there's also ethical/situational questions. I went to university with somebody who tried to bimbo their way around them instead of making reasoned decisions, that never seemed like a good idea.
