What do you think of young people (~20) wearing hearing aids?
I assume they were born hearing-impaired and think nothing more.

I think it's perfectly fine and think nothing of it honestly
>>18700246
Kinda hot if it's a qt girl with a positive personality. The two girls I've known and messed around with 1 were both pretty outgoing and didn't feel sorry for themselves compared to stupid ass normies who think their lives are so unbearable and get hung up on the tiniest things.
I don't stare at poeple's ears so I'd doubt I'd notice not to mention you can do funny stuff with them like my one teacher in high school just turned his hearing aids off whenever one student would talk to him.

Don't you think "ewwww, defective" when you see a young man a hearing aid?
I mean it's not common under young people so it stands out. Being shortsighted, you can wear glasses and be totally normal but with hearing aids you stand out. You'll always be 'that deaf guy'

This
I might think "well that's fucking weird" but as long as you don't have issues interacting with me because of it I won't give it a second thought
>>18700266
No, because augmentations are becoming more and more common and advanced. They're meant to make up for what the body is lacking in. It's kind of like the same thing if someone is ashamed of using viagra to get a strong boner. All that matters is that the augmentation gets the job done and serves you well.

I think how fortunate I am but also glad technology allows them to live with sound.
>>18700266
No, not at all. I don't think there's anything to judge or look down upon. Some people are just like that and it's fine. Coincidentally, I even messaged a hearing-impaired guy on OkCupid today. I promise no one who isn't a piece of shit judges you.

Never seen them irl but It's not like I'd treat them differently. Well maybe apart from speaking louder if they can't hear me that well.
Relax dude, only a retard would make fun of you for wearing hearing aids, and at that point his logic is invalid anyway.
I don't really care. Maybe it's because I've known a kid who has them since I can remember. It's no different to seeing a kid with glasses IMO.
WHAT
>>18700266
>Don't you think "ewwww, defective"
that thought is typical of a teenager, any person >20 yo will think this >>18700256
I usually become conscious of my own speaking volume, thats all
>>18700246
>What do you think of young people (~20) wearing hearing aids?
As someone who was fortunate to enough to actually be able to work through their own impairments I feel nothing but compassion for them because I know how fucking shitty it is to feel insecure about something you can't change. Just know that it gets easier as you get older.
The more you know who you are, and what you want, the less things will upset you.
>>18700689
Why don't you get hearing aids and get over it?
>>18700734
What? I never said I had hearing loss, and I've come to peace with my challenges. Honestly wondering how you interpreted it in that way.
>>18700246
>What do you think of young people (~20) wearing hearing aids?
Absolutely nothing.
I have a friend who has a hearing aid. Doesn't stop us from being friends. The only inconvenience is that sometimes they'll talk over me when i'm midway through a sentence.
I dont?
Nothing of it. If they want them, it's their choice. I'm completely deaf in one and managed so far without an aid. The other ear picked up the slack pretty good.
>>18700246
My younger brother wears them, so I have a soft spot for people who wear them.
I have a cool coworker who wears one - if you're smart/fun to talk to, then that's all that matters
>>18700256
This.
I might ask some tech questions about how it works, or how the insurance covers it... just out of curiosity.
Embrace your cyborg nature. We live in a cyberpunk dystopia, implants are cool now.

>Don't you think "ewwww, defective" when you see a young man a hearing aid?
Do you think that when you see someone wearing glasses?
>>18700246
>what do i think.
I think sometimes people ~20 have hearing difficulty so they wear hearing aids.
Anymore questions?
>>18700266
I think youve imagined humans as goblins dude... Not many people are like that.
In highschool yeah but thats because teenagers brains literally haven't developed yet.
>>18700266
I have an hearing aid. And although i can be pretty aware of it. The models now dont stand out that much, and i have grown used to it.
Huh?
