/adv/, I need some help when it comes to signs from girls. I can't, and never have, been able to tell the difference between flirting and just being nice.

Here's the back story:
In 3 different cases throughout high school, I would engage in what seemed to be friendly chatter with a girl, and then friends of mine (male and female) would come up to me and say she was totally flirting. I would normally ignore this but for 2 out of the 3 times it was a female friend who pointed it out. I would be completely oblivious to their "flirting" and thought they were just being friendly. Things began to change this year in college (3rd year). I have become friends with 2 girls and as our relationships developed I would think I see hints of flirting. But in both cases I would later find out they had a bf, the second time occurring today.

tl;dr

How can you tell the difference between a girl being flirtatious or friendly?

Ignore the two possibilities of friendly/interested once you're acquainted and treat everything as if she is interested.

If she has a boyfriend, so what, you tried.

You'd be amazed at how much your life changes when you truly stop caring about what others think.

If you want interesting gravy, add a little cinnamon.

If you want exciting gravy, add a little chili powder.

If you want crazy gravy, add a little vinegar.

If you want badass gravy, thicken your meat drippings with puree'd peppers and pizza vegetables instead of flour.

If you want regular gravy, just go on youtube and do what the search results say for regular gravy.
