Hey guys,
a problem i have among several others (depression, anxiety etc.) is to find new stuff. I listen to the same podcast since years, and am mad when there is nothing new there ( i just recently realized this). The first bands i found i stick to (Metallica, Megadeth)... and i have a hard time finding new bands or music, even though i want to. This is a really weird question because you might ask me why i don't just google them or something. I know, that might be easy, but its not actually for me, and googling and stuff is less rewarding than one would think. I dont know how people find stuff they like in the internet, where basically all of human mind is saved. When people showed me stuff in the past, when i had more human contact, i could get very excited and clinge to those, music, games, whatever, more than they would. I play the same games. I visit the same websites. I want to induldge in a topic, but i feel like i know everything and am not very curious and excitable, in fact im very close minded.
I would like to know how you come about new stuff in the internet, how your paths look like. If your environment tends to stay the same or if it shifts. I hope someone can relate to this, i know its weird, but its very real.
Hey OP, you nailed exactly how I feel sometimes. I work a long job, days out in the field, and my playlist gets old real quick. I like Pandora because at least it introduces you to new artists in a vein similar to what you like. But the big issue is, you need to build the motivation to explore and find aspects of new things that are interesting. It's a journey, but one that is rewarding in the long run.
Well the music one is easy, use pandora. It'll recommend similar stuff. I found a lot of new songs (or new to me at least).
