I was having an argument with a woman who's husband is a closeted gay man. I argued that being closeted gay is actually manly because it's manly to hide your feelings except for anger. Do you agree?

Wtf? No, no it's not manly in any way.
First of all, the most manly thing is when men are fully confident about who they are and don't need to either hide anything OR be overly braggadocious.
Secondly, I've known several families where the husband was closeted. Emphasis on "was". Truth always comes out, and it's never pretty. In fact, things usually get pretty ugly the longer the man has stayed in the closet.
