So a few days ago i found out my sister who i havnt seen in over 5 years took over £1000 worth of credit out in my name for a online shopping website called very.co.uk,
My credit rating has been affected by this and im no longer able to get a mortgage or do anything that requires credit e.g rent a property for a business i wanted to start up, she used the money to buy clothes for hersef an her husband and toys for their children, whats your thought and what should i do? I have some options available

The fraud was commited in 2015, she works for the nhs so a criminal conviction will cost her her job, also shes admited that she did it

File a police report immediately, then contact credit agencies to get it removed from your credit report. I don't know who you need to contact in the UK but I'm sure they have some equivalent of the U.S. agencies. The police should be able to help you.
