Is it possible to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time, or is it just a myth?
I just can't be bothered with the bulking and cutting crap. It was the main reason that I stopped working out.
Is there any hope?
Like anything you want to be successful in, you have to do your research.
But what worked very well for me is Lift weights 3-4x a week, correctly, with intensity kicked to the max and eat healthy 5x a day 3 hours apart from each meal with 30-40g's of protein per meal. Your body will react to the intervals and use the food to feed your muscles causing you to "shred" and grow muscles.
This will establish a good baseline and get you fit as long as you get 8-9 hours of sleep a day.
Weight is determined my calories in and out. Muscle is determined by working out and getting enough protein. Eat less while working out and you'll lose fat while gaining muscle. Though if you're too stubborn to take bulking and cutting seriously you're hopeless
Do high intensity work outs or at least look into them.
The idea is to get the body to burn up fat but stop short of burning muscle.

Yes, but it is difficult and ineffective without steroids.
Bulk.
