I'm pretty much just trying to get a girlfriend again. I had one in high school all of senior year until last November (2ish years). I took a break, and now I want to get back out there. I just started my second year of community college. I haven't had any chance to talk to people since class just started, but other than that what am I supposed to do? It's not as easy as high school, and it's not like I can just go to a bar. None of my friends go to parties, so I never get invited to any if there even are any. I don't even like to drink/smoke anyway. I've tried Tinder and MeetMe apps but I hardly get matches, and when I do the conversations end quick. I'm clean so I don't smell bad, zero facial hair, a clean hair cut, and I have pretty good social skills for a "nerd". I'm not beautiful but I know I'm not ugly.
In my free time I go to the Student Center with my friends and chill, but everyone is just in their groups or has their headphones on. I've found other things online about going to "Meet Ups" for various hobbies, but I know that if I go to one for my interests it's just going to be all dudes.

Make friends with the people at your college, join a club with woman or something. Develop a social circle and try to meet someone thru this circle. But please dont fall into the pit trap that is trying to be friends with someone and moving on from there, it usually ends badly.

Not OP, but can you elaborate on what you should do instead? Only ask out strangers? Shouldn't you know the person at least somewhat before wanting to be in a relationship?
Exactly the same situation as me, OP. Although I'm only starting college this year and haven't had a girlfriend since I was 12. I'd recommend joining groups and clubs which reflect your interests.
