So I'm in a pretty odd place in life. I haven't had a girlfriend since I was 16 and I'll be turning 25 next month. I'm also transferring from a community college to large university next week. I feel that if I don't start dating soon I never will. But it's been so long and there's so many skills I'm lacking, how to flirt, how to know if someone is flirting with me, etc. Plus I feel like I'll be too old for most of the girls around me that I should I just give up and wait until after school...
Any advice? Maybe I should try online dating sites/apps?
impossible. you are fucked.
What you need the most is more experience. With practice things will improve. People talk bad about PUA stuff, but if you don't take it too seriously there's plenty of good suggestions about where to go and how to open a girl. The rest will come with practice. Torrent PUA material don't give your email or money to anyone online.

Yeah, that's where all the evidence points

I'm not sure. I don't know much about PUA stuff, but it seems too insincere. I want a relationship, not just someone to fuck. And if that were the case I would just lie about my age (I have a serious baby face).

Ok. You want a girlfriend. Here is what you need to figure out.
What kind of girl are you into? Whats your type? What is she interested in? If you want a relationship how can you get in one? How can you better yourself to look presentable to women?
Really, what you should think about is what exactly you are looking for and why. What kind of girl makes you happy and how to get that kind of girl.
I will say this man. There are many types of girls out here. There are some girls that will rip your heart out with a meat cleaver. There are some girls that are easy as hell but aren't relationship material because of daddy issues/messed up childhood/some other issue. Know that this is just part of the game. Also, if you like what a girl looks like, talk to her. See what she's about. Don't worry so much about sex in the beginning, just be social and get to know people. Break out of your comfort zone too. Don't just go to university and study, join groups, get involved.

Thanks Anon. I think my biggest problem is getting out of my head and realizing that one girl, is just one girl. Focusing on the kind of girl that will make me happy, and what I need to do to get her, I think that will pull me out of my head.

What really helped me out of that situation was to go on a local pub crawl tour every weekend. You meet tons of new people, guys and girls, and they are all in it just for fun. Everyone is very open and direct, and if you get rejected it doesn't matter because it's usually tourists that you will never see again.
