Who do you think uses Tinder?
Tinder is mostly hookups, I'm sure people find love there but it's probably pretty rare. If you're not a 7/10 or better, online dating is going to be shit for you if you're a straight male, anyway.

I know a few people who have got relationships from Tinder, reasonably long ones, I haven't used it though so can't give any first hand experience.

No, actually, tinder is a great way for people to find a partner. Just put in your bio that you're not looking for a hookup and you'll get tons of women replying. While it is considered a hookup app, it's also just a young people app, and there are tons of men and women on there who don't want a FWB. A good friend of mine met his girlfriend of two years on tinder.
