Can anyone give me some advice about which credit card I should apply to? I need one for a trip to nyc and to build credit in general but I dont want the interest rates to eat me up. Wat do?

I work at chase bank, I recommend Slate

Checkout creditcards.chase.com and you can select zero APR cards

Chase has the highest point to dollar worth in the industry

The minute you ask about interest you betray the fact that you are going to misuse your card and get in financial trouble.

The ONLY way to use a card is to spend no more than you'll be able to pay back when the bill comes, so that you pay it in full (not just the minimum payment) every month and thus pay no interest at all. Start paying interest and you'll fall deeper and deeper into a bottomless hole
