find new friends, as hard as that sounds.
your peers shape who you are more often than not, and it's extremely hard to change yourself if everyone around you is not going to be too happy about it.

It's not easy finding a proper social network (in the pre-internet sense of the word) to support you through hard times, especially when you're having a hard time right now.
But it is important nonetheless. Do you have family? Have you checked out local church congregations?
I know that sounds lame as shit but if you're lucky there will be decent people to socialize with once a week.
Occasionally hanging out with people that have their life under control can really give you perspective. Just seeing that it's possible instead of constantly being with people who have the same problems you have, or worse.

Move up a class. Discover that there are people who don't consider it ordinary to go to jail or do drugs.
