How can a I develop a better outlook on life?
20 yo male, I've been on a nihilistic stint for well over two years now and I've gained nothing from it. I wake up everyday feeling hollow and go to sleep feeling as if I hadn't done enough.
I'm tired of being bitter and stone faced. Not even sure why, but I can't find something worth living/dying for. I have a job but it's fruitless, I'm in my second year of college.
Everyone around me seems to be content with their mortality and the possibility they may not achieve much in life. How is that even possible? Why not go all out while you're here? What's the point of any of this?
Go volunteer at a homeless shelter or something. You want to feel like you're making a difference? Then go make a difference.

I don't give a fuck about making a difference, I just want a brighter outlook on life

It will help, dumbass. Or is your question really, "how can i do nothing different at all but feel better? "

This may just be me, but it helps me to imagine that whatever I do today I'll do every day for the rest of my life, so if I choose to do something or feel some way, I'm going to be doing it again.
It helps avoid thinking that I'll be a better person at some nebulous point in the future by being okay with being a little bit better now.

That does makes sense dude, thank you. I'll definitely adopt that mentality, and the balls to cut off any dead limbs in my life.
