I'm new on 4ch and I want some advice on how to use it and what kind of shit goes on in here
I appreciate all the help
avoid /pol/, /v/, /b/, and /r9k/ at all costs
>>18656354
/pol/ for uncensored unbiased news
/g/ to learn
/mu/ to learn as well
And by the looks of it you'll fit right in with the anime faggots, faggot
>>18656364
>unbiased
Good one
>>18656368
>minority crimes don't get reported on regular news because 'muh racism'
>minority crime happens the most
Yeah I'd like to know about that shit if it goes on around me fuck off
>>18656354
Just lurk a lot, you'll learn more than from us.
>>18656354
Don't make pun jokes and don't make shitty ass family guy quality jokes
Listening to /biz/ will most likely make you lose money, don't gamble.
Settings, Monitoring, Thread watcher is probably the most useful think, after you tick the box you'll get an excessively small 4cin logo on top of every thread.
/sci/ is for the most part popsci and IQ /sci/tposting, but math general is alright.
/an/ /out/ /po/ /diy/ are probably the most peaceful and comfy boards
>>18656354
Lurk a lot, learn the lingo, and you'll blend right in.
/adv/ is the wholesome sub, /pol/ is the fucked up one, /r9k/ the one to avoid at all costs, /b/ for the laughs and porn, mostly porn, if you wnt memes search for ylyl.
No use goin on /bant/, /biz/, /fa/, everything else according to interest.
Ah, and always reply to the wine furry with "nice feet". You'll know the one.
Have a good one, op.
>>18656354
Lurk more. Don't post for your first 5 years. Use this time to learn the ropes. Every question you have will be asked by some other newfag in that time, so let him ask it and get shit for it from everyone.
I look forward to seeing your next post in 2022.
>>18656370
Why do you want to know about crime? That's just depressing
What if it's moot testing us? And the helpful ones get passes, and the >back to redd< guys get banned?
Imagine.
>>18656384
moot is no more
also back to redd is the most helpful answer
also who fucking cares?
>>18656354
stfu and lurk moar or gb2reddit
>>18656370
You pretend like left wing bias is the only bias that exists. You are a typical brainlet.
>/mu/ to learn as well
Lol.
>>18656354
Kill yourself
>>18656401
/mu/ has links and great recommendations to start learning music theory and guitar lurk more
lurk moar
Ask this question in /pol/ they will help for sure. & use the same pic, they love communism
Don't adopt the vernacular. Talk like a regular person.
>>18656354
Don't be a fucking namefag for Christ's sake
>>18656361
This.
>>18656354
Just lurk so that you learn the lingo (they differ by board). Don't get discouradged if you're told to fuck off or get sent to reddit. Don't act cancerous or butthurt, you should keep chill. It's just an unimportant conversation on an anonymous North Korean nuclear missile purchasing forum. If you see a bait threaf that you want to reply to, sage it (write "sage" in the options bar, that will prevent the thread from being bumped to the first page).
Have fun, bro.
>>18656361
Adding /tv/ to this list
>>18656377
i love the irony of telling OP to learn the lingo while referring to boards as subs. good one.
>>18656354
take time to learn the board culture wherever you decide to go. read more than you post. you really don't need specific advice on boards to watch out for. you will learn as you observe how people post on them
>>18656705
/tv/'s good for looking up good but obscure films.
>>18656354
Don't force yourself to fit in and appear edgy. Just act normally.
>>18656354
/pol/ is not that bad, normies hate it because the "cool kids" all have made it a cultural narrative to hate certain things unconditionally that pol is ripe with. But it's a way better news source than anything because of the constant infighting and people trying to win arguments.
Do not go to /mu/. I like music but it is impossible to have music discussion with meme-loving hipster faggots, every post is an in-joke.
Finally do not double space every sentence like a 3rd grader. Use as few words as possible out of respect for those lurking. Sage in the options field prevents bump, image included will bump regardless.
>>18656361
Dont listen to these cumdrinking faggots. /b/ is by far the best one followed by /pol/. At least if you're not one of these cucked braindead sjw-retards that like to swallow ahmeds and murats cum and think that niggers are actually human. lmao You're not THAT degenerated, are you?
>>18656795
>But it's a way better news source than anything because of the constant infighting and people trying to win arguments.
It's not. Half the "news" posts are the OP lying about/misrepresenting the actual article. And he gets called out like 50 answers down the line because no one actually bothered reading it in the first place. The atmosphere is really cancerous out there, as well.
>>18656708
As long as you can avoid all the blacked threads.
>>18656844
W-what do you mean op is lying? Why would somebody lie on the interwebs? Sad!
>>18656843
>abloo abloo if you think /pol/ is cancerous you are a degenerate sjw
/pol/ by itself is more degenerate than most other boards.
>>18656370
I didn't realize for it to be unbiased it has to focus solely on minorities, my mistake.
>>18656860
There was a big story the San Francisco BART incident where they admitted tapes of crimes were not released because they were committed by minorities and they didn't want people to look at them and be racist. That kind of shit is why /pol/ is even a topic.
>>18656843
/pol/ is the most disliked board on 4chan, next to /mlp/. The only board that likes /pol/ is, not surprisingly, ponies.
/r9k/, /b/, and everybody else thinks they are the biggest cancer. /pol/ is more like a containment board at this point, because outside of that board, nobody gives a shit about their opinions, and it ruins every thread.
>>18656364
>>18656370
God, go home /pol/lack, nobody here likes you.
>>18656364
>pol
>unbiased
>kek
>>18656361
plus /mu/, worst circlejerk community known to mankind.
/pol/ is for politics. Go there if you want to see the truth.
/g/ is a consumerist board. If you go there looking for tech support you'll be sorely disappointed.
/b/ is a place you'd want to lurk for a couple months just to get the feeling of things. The board moves pretty quick.
/r9k/ is a board where you can get your feelings out. You also can't type the same thing twice (it's easily exploitable. Just put random garbage at the end of the post).
/a/ is an anime board... That's pretty much it.
/v/ is a video game board. It has had a bad recent history with mods and janitors deleting off topic threads but it can be funny at times.
/k/ is a weapons board. It's quite fun at times. Some of them are depressed and others have fallen in love with their guns. Really.
/mu/ is a music board. They're a bunch of hipsters at times but have a good taste in music.
There are other boards for other hobbies but these are some of the more prevalent ones.
If you want to post in a shitty thread without it rising (called bumping) you put sage in the options field.
Don't have a name. It attracts negative attention to you.
Janitors are like mods but even gayer. They do it for free.
If you want to piss people off, post image related. It's a sfw picture of yotsuba (the 4chan mascot) but it's also the beginning of a hentai comic.
Gtfo now. Save yourself!
>>18657006
Whoops. Forgot to mention /sci/. They are really smart in terms of scientific and mathematic knowledge but I wouldn't trust them on their IQ.
Avoid /pol/ at all costs
Thanks for all the help
But what I don't understand is the system of the site
