It's really fucking easy. If you live in a city there will be groups easy to find online, if in a smaller town you could find a group for your region/state. In this age of mass communicating there is no reason you can't find people into the same things as you. You simply aren't that special

Your problem is that you're boring. People create friendships over what they have in common (hobbies, interests) when they've finished school. You can't bond over simply being weirder than the other kids like you did in high school.

there's a limited amount of places you can reliably find people who do x thing in, so yes clubs are recommended quite often because the general demographic of this board is college aged people. clubs are built solely for the purpose of meeting others who like thing, and people coming here for advice generally aren't in any.
