What exactly am I supposed to do during a solar eclipse?
It's a '"once in a lifetime" sight, so people will think I'm super weird for staying indoors until it passes, like deliberately ignoring a meteor shower times ten, but if I look at it I'll go blind.
You mean you haven't prepared your infant sacrifice yet?
I just sat outside and watched it by my lonesome in my backyard.
It was neat seeing the moon in front of the sun. But it was really overhyped as are most things nowadays.
Most people try to delude you into thinking that all these experiences are super huge meaningful deals that will change your life.

Literally the same here. Plopped down a lawn chair in the yard by my lonesome, watched it get dark, let out a visible "Woah!" when it happened, came back inside when it was over, feeling no real different than before it happened.
I think all the articles and tweets screaming "life-changing" got me a bit over-hyped.
