He wasn't interested at first, and we stopped talking. Then he kinda came round, then we started dating properly.

Did you just stop completely in that timespan?

I'm in a situation where I think I already know the answer will be that she isn't interested, however I feel like I owe it to myself to try. Just afraid of what it'll do to our friendship.
