Sleeping related issue

What is that feeling of dread and fear I get just before getting up into bed. I've always had it, but it comes and goes. Just as I get to my bed, I start having this sinking terror that feels as if in endangered by something physical. The feeling of running, that I'm not safe. It climaxes as I start to get into bed itself. And it subsides as soon as I'm actually in bed, as if it's a safe place.

It makes getting into bed awkward around others. As it usually causes a panicked sort of hurry, and when it's really bad. I end up literally jumping into bed to get to "safety".
