Got a OWI in Michigan the other day. First offense, clean record. Plead not guilty, hiring a lawer, any other advice?

Anyone?

Lawyer here. Absolutely hire a lawyer, not only to deal with the consequences like jail, fines, ignition interlock, but also to deal with the consequences of having it on your record.

I have a family lawyer we've had good experience with before. I know it's going to be expensive, but if you had to hazard a guess, what am I looking at, end result after lawyer, court fees, and fines?

Also, with first offense and a clean record, is it likely that I'll see jail time? That would be the worst case, as it would fuck with my job and as a result, mess with my ability to pay my fines and lawyer costs.

Doubt it with a good lawyer.
