That's just a bruise under the nail.
In a few weeks, it'll be pushed out and you'll see some flakey blood when you cut your toe nail (too short imo)

I've seen that brown shit under a nail before
It's caused by smacking it. It's a bruise but it can't be taken away because of the toe nail.
It's normal. You'll see it move out as the nail grows.

If it's green, then it's infection
