I did and I am confident that she is genuine. she told me she's already been broken multiple times because of her almost husband leaving her after she gave birth, along with him never helping her with her vitamins when she was still pregnant. plus she has said that her parents are adamant about her going back to school to get an education and a job

99% of fillipina with kids on dating sites are looking for money. Ask yourself, how can she afford to bring up a kid with no job?. How does she feed herself and her child, where does the money come from to pay bills?. Scamming is big business in the Philippines. People employ groups of girls for the purpose of scamming. Just remember, she lives in a 3rd world shit hole and you live in comparative luxury. Give it a few weeks and she will need money for her internet, phone, rent etc.

Just leave it, you'll ruin the dynamic if you ask, and if she was trying to build a relationship with you in order to utilize your emotions as to manipulate you she absolutely would not be honest with you.

You're better off being alone than with someone who's just using you. If love was her motivation she'd be looking for men locally, not overseas on dating apps. Don't underestimate the comparative advantage of being alone vs being in a relationship based on deception.

If you share common interests, and really communicate and understand each others position on matters regarding those interests, then you can be fairly certain it is real. If she is a scammer, she would be working dozens of targets simultaneously, some of those would require less effort than others, and it would not be the one that wants to be a friend.
