Background, i was unemployed for months looking for job, applied to multiple places, sent like two dozen job applications and had some interview which they "we will contact you later"
Shortly i got a job offer to work at some food service company, i already did their in-site training and such and will start on monday, the pay is shit, like $9/hr, 9-5 sched
But then i got another job offer at an IT support company, starting at $12/hr and they're asking me if im still interested
The pay's a lot of different, what is the best way to proceed with this? should i just send email to the food service company saying that i wont be coming on first day or come in, put in 2 week notice and also informing the IT support in regards to my situation?
You could tell both the situation.
If the IT support job is a guaranteed thing then I'd say go for that and just inform them. That is unless you haven't already signed a contract with the food service company. If you have them you will have to follow due process of quitting.
Just tell them what's up. You got a better offer (in your field?) and you're sorry, but you are going to go with the other one.
