Don't confront your dad EVER. If he cant understand his own actions dont try to understand his. Perhaps talk to your mom personally and see how she feels about it. Has you're dad always treated her that way?

Also i find its a common characteristic for older couples to bicker a lot. I cant give you exact advice as to what to do. You have to be subtle about it not to trigger you dad to start shitting on you instead of your mom. Forumlate a plan. I dont know how understanding your dad is so logic probably wont do shit.

I'd rather he shit on me. I can take it. But not only does she have hear issues, she's naturally always stressing out about the little things so having him blow up on her like this makes me really want to snap. He hasnt always been like this. Like i said, he's gotten worse as the years have gone by and up until these last 4-5 years has he really gone off the deep end. Flaring up over stupid shit like this. Mind your own fucking business. It's not your job to raise your dad or to mediate arguments between your parents. It's your job to take care of yourself. Move out and get your own place. Hire an in-home caretaker if they need one.
