This is the state of my heel, /adv/.

It was originally a blister from some new shoes I was wearing.

What is it? Is it serious? And if so, what should I do about it?

It hurts in a dull way, btw.

It's healing. Cover it with a large bandage or duct tape to protect it and leave it alone.

you should try and dig out the larva before it grows big enough to start eating your foot off from the inside.

use a blowtorch to drive it out and a spoon to scoop it up and eat it in celebration of your victory
