Tap water, should I drink from it?

I think it's because it's running water, not stagnant that you can drink from it. Also it's been thoroughly cleaned to the point it's probably cleaner than some river water. I mean, just pour some in the glass. It's crystal clear. Of course, if you let it sit you'll see the iron start to settle.

If you are paranoid, simply pay a specialist to analyze your water from your own tap.

It isnt even that expensive. That said, in most 1st world countries tap water is ok (except usa with fluoride). And even then, the source of water is different from town to town. So either write your location or have a little faith in your goverment. I mean, citizens cant pay taxes or go to vote when they are dead / ill.

And as long as the water is fresh, it should be good to go no matter how old pipes are. (Unless the pipes are made from lead, that will slowly kill you in a very gruesome way). So when taking sip, let the water run for a few seconds so the still water will end up in your drain, not your glass. Also what is chlorine? It dezinfects your water from most of microbes.

Depends on where the water comes from. Where I live we have the best water but all other places I go tap tastes like shit. If you drink tap in china ull even get sick for a week.

It's not really bad for you if it's not crystal clear. Still, you can just use a filter

I am lucky I live in the Netherlands. Tap water is so clean here. Tastes even better then bottled water.

Fluoride is meant to touch your teeth only (aka tooth paste). Swallowing it down is not recommended and can cause multiple health problems, but explaining this to average usa citizen is as useless as advantage of public free healthcare, foreskin or why stem uni degrees should be free for clever children.

No need to complicate water.

The real problem is carbon dioxide. This toxic chemical is present in all soft drinks. This corrosive poison does more damage to teeth than lack of fluoride. Ban carbon dioxide.
