Nobody in human history has died from the symptoms of opioid withdrawal. Indirectly via suicide to stop the withdrawal sure, but never from the actual withdrawal.

Why not just go to your doctor and let them know you were an addict and you're trying to stop? They can give you Suboxone which can help.
