I'm not dyslexic, and I am a quite intelligent person but I will often read a sentence, think it said something else, and come back to find out I mixed two letters/numbers around in a word, changing its meaning completely. I also find it somewhat difficult to understand what people are saying to me in real life or in movies as well, and often ask people to repeat what they said. I am diagnosed with the tisms but I'm not sure it's a symptom of that. Any thoughts?

What you describe is the very definition of dyslexia

No, it's not. I don't look at a block of text and see "a jumble of letters".
