There is this girl I like since like January. I confessed to her and she said she liked me as well, but some days later she said she did not want to go in a relationship because she was nervous, afraid and wanted to focus on studies. Sure. Then, like one month later, she was in a relationship with some other guy. It hurt but I understand why/how it happened. They recently broke up and I feel like it is my chance to attempt to approach her again.
But here is the problem:
a) I suspect she might like someone else;
b) She has been rather cold lately. I mean, we spend one day talking the entire day, the next day she is even singing to me, but the next she barely speaks with me. It's "that time of the month", sure, but I'm not sure if this is normal;
c) I've never tried asking someone out for the second time after the first one fails. If the first one fails I usually give up. So I don't know how to do this

She probably assent interested man. Girls are shitty like that and will lie if they don't like you as an easy way of turning you down so they're not an asshole to any degree. If you want to know the truth ask her if she's free on like Tuesday or something. If she's interested she will be free.

If it's literally more that an hour alone without
any other company then shes probably still into you, or really enjoys the confidence boost she gets from talking
to someone who likes her.
Also depends if you're talking in person or online, but either way you should pass. She said no the first time so fuck it and
move on, you don't want to get into a relationship with someone who decides to be warm and then cold - shes probably
going through some inner turmoil. don't stick your dick into that.
