How do I move without transferring? People say all the time how they just packed up and left.
But do they arrange a place to live before they get there?
How do you get a job there when you don't live there? (most places want you to live there when you apply).
And if you go there with no job or accommodation do you just live temporarily in a hotel room?

I moved about a thousand miles without a job or place set up first, saved enough for a few months.
Made reservations at hotel at a stopping point on the way, and extended stay reservation at my destination.
Got rid of all the shit I didn't want, loaded up the car and went.
Stayed in an extended stay hotel for a couple weeks while researching apartments/jobs.
Got a PO box at a UPS store so I could use that as a street address on applications
Ended up getting an apartment before a job by faking my income documents and saying I was still employed in a work from home capacity.
