I work in animal husbandry, around feed and bedding and shit dust. When I first started, I sneezed constantly, now I've developed a mucousy cough. Even when I'm not there my nose clogs up with hard dark mucous all day and even after clearing out I still can't smell, I've lost near all my ability to smell since starting this job a couple months ago. Should I care and go to the doctor, or just suck it up? I know one woman there who said she had the same issues when she started and wanted to get them fixed but didn't have the money, otherwise it doesn't sound like any of my coworkers have had trouble with it. I seriously only smell now when I'm cleaning out a flooded cage full of dead rats, otherwise I smell nothing all day, food has lost most of its taste, lol I've lost weight just from no longer even getting the appeal of food.

It sounds pretty obviously like an allergy - that would explain why some workers get it and others don't. Over the counter hay fever pills might help, but they're not designed for long-term use. A GP could send you to an Allergist who could test to see what among the several things you're inhaling is the culprit, and you could be desensitized to it.
But this really looks like a deal-breaker case, where you'd have to look for another job that doesn't expose you to whatever the culprit is.
