I think you're overestimating the likelihood of actually being physically attacked and seriously hurt. Men might use aggressive speech and body language but that doesn't mean they will beat you up if you don't capitulate. There are tons of women who act like jerks, become unpopular and gain a reputation as a "bitch". Yet you still don't see them walking around with black eyes and broken arms.
If you they are being pushy/aggressive and you are visibly intimidated it will just tell them that their tactics are effective and they'll keep it up.

I just realized that as a man, the sex next to no one approaches, my chances of having someone initiate a conversation with me, try to take up an actual amount of my time and force me to respond to things or interrogate me when I don't want them around are basically 0.
