My dad was in a ghetto area last night and dropped his wallet in some restaurant driveway. He said today that someone stole it because it's not here and $300 is being spent on his credit card at the Walmart that was nearby as well as other stores. My ID and debit card was in there. We are freaking out. What do??

why was your ID and debit card in your fathers wallet?
why have you not reported it stolen and called the credit card company?
why have you not reported your debit card stolen on the bank website?
Call the police, report it stolen, tell them what you've told us (restaurant, Walmart, the times, etc)
Call your credit company, cancel the cards
Call one of the credit score companies ( Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) and put in a preemptive fraud/identity alert. It will be active for 90 days, at which point you will need to make a new report. You will have to do this indefinitely until your card is destroyed or returned to you

Also use your local police department's non emergency number, don't tie up 911 with something like this
