Is there a life lesson in losing people? This girl i'm talking to says there is no lesson in losing someone, but I wanna counter it with some heavy shit.
it teaches you a lot. ofc, depending on how you deal with it.
it teaches you about mortality, about coping and soothing yourself, about getting yourself back up again, and so on
two each his own, we all derive our own interpretations and meaning from reality.
Also, a lot of the Existentialists, and Nihilists who make that argument that life is intrinsically meaningless get caught on the question of death being the only meaningful distinction.
Sometimes there is and sometimes there isn't. Not the heavy shit you wanted, but considering the random nature of life, sometimes you lose people for no reason at all.
(Assuming you're talking about people dying and not just people walking out of your life.)

The lesson could be learning to live without all the support that the person that was lost gave you.

Learning to cope with loss helps you mature.
Not trying to be profound, it's just my honest opinion.
