It's wishful thinking, but it's not the 1950s anymore, and courts very rarely take infidelity/adultery into consideration anymore. It all falls under "irreconcilable differences." If OP was the sole breadwinner and his wife has been out of work, then the court will award her rehabilitative alimony for 6 months or whatever. Yeah, divorce sucks.
